June 2007: ‘Headz Up’ goes live!
I have also completed a web project in conjunction with Jellymould Creative.
The brief was to create a web site for the charity Alopecia UK, aimed at young
people with alopecia. You can view the site at www.headzup.org.uk.
Go to the kids page to view my illustrations.
March 2007: ‘Running Free’ is published
I also illustrated a book entitled 'Running Free' written, coincidentally,
by my old English teacher at Woodcote High School, Ann Lovelace.
It is a war time fictional novel aimed at junior/secondary school level children. You can view the cover illustration in portfolio gallery 5 and Book Jackets & Packaging. Click here to see the book on the author's web site.
January 2007: ‘Reaper’ is published
'Reaper' is a crime fiction thriller by Steven Dunne and was published
early in 2007. It is set in Derby and for a time became the town's No. 1 best seller!
Those who know me well may recognize the hand on the front cover as
belonging to yours truly! This job was a change for me because I used
photography for the image as opposed to illustration, and I designed the
whole cover. You can see it in the porfolio galleries here. This book cover has since be redesigned, so the currently available edition is not my design.
Keele University:
I collaborated with designer Sweeta Patel of The Corner Shop, to produce a series of colourful images for Keele university student’s union promotional material. These can be seen in gallery 2.
My Silver Balloon:
'My Silver Balloon' is still going strong. This is a CD that incorporates your child's
name in music, for which I illustrated the covers for both albums.
You can see my artwork on their website www.silverballoon.com, and in gallery 6.
Graphic design for 'My Silver Balloon' was created by Associate Design
with whom I also collaborated to produce an illustrated website for a company that moderates chat rooms etc. online. Unfortunately their site has since been updated, but you can see some of the illustrations I created in gallery 3 of my portfolio. You can see their current site at www.chatmoderators.com.
