This gallery contains a selection of art works form the distant 90's! Most of these styles are a little 'dated' now, but they are from a period rich in advertising commissions, which I look back on with affection!
There are some traditional airbrush illustrations, notably the Donna Karen portrait for FHM magazine, and for NatWest the 'Wesley Pig' and 'Pay In and Win' illustrations for in-store promotions. I produced a fair number of illustrations and visuals for NatWest between 1998 and 2000.
I also produce illustrations in mixed media, such as the painting of the four girls' hairstyles masquerading as the US presidents on Mount Rushmore. This was a last minute illustration for the Sunday Telegraph for a Nicky Clarke ad (the previous illustrator had let them down with, well lets say, a decidedly amateur effort!). I only had an evening to produce this illustration as the newspaper was going to print the following day!
I also produced a lot of illustrations in acrylic using a kind of 'dry brush' technique. This worked particularly well for advertising and it also brightened up a few dull financial publications and report and accounts.
